Description: Rattlesnake Island Local Post Set of Plate Blocks Stamps 2022 Lake Erie Comm. Vessels - Reissues. However, due to problems with the initial perforations being a roulette 24 style, the 2022 stamps were reissued with the correct perf 12 perforations originally intended. So, 6 months later here are the perf 12 stamps. RILP has started up local airmail service between Rattlesnake Island and Port Clinton Via Griffing Flying Services. The USPS contracts with Griffing Flying Services to fly mail from the 4 neighboring islands in the western basis of Lake Erie but continues to deny Rattlesnake Island the right to have mail service. This was the reason Dr. Frackelton started the RILP in 1966 and is still the reason for the relaunch. The new 2022 stamps were released on Nov. 10th and feature the following Plate Blocks:RSI 199 - .50 - Barge, Crane, & Push Boat "Buttugly" of Ken Gill ConstructionRSI 200 - .75 - "Jet Express II" of Jet ExpressRSI 201 - 1.00 - "South Bass" of Miller Boat Lines The stamps are a standard perf 12 perforations. Scans of the stamps are a stock photo. For reduced S & H fees on multiple items, please request invoice when bidding is completed.
