Description: This is a very rare 1940s alligator purse from Rosenfeld New York. The purse is made in the shape of a drum with a bakelite round discs front and back which are surrounded by small-tile alligator skins in a medium chocolate brown color. The purse has a zipper top opening which is accessed by pulling on the matching alligator skin pull tab. The interior is lined and clean with wall pockets on both sides, and the label is attached to one pocket seam. The original mirror and comb are inside as well. The previous owner left 2 pennies in the bottom of the bag. There are multiple straps making up the carrying handle. The condition is very nice vintage. Please see the detailed condition report above. The purse measures approximately 8 1/2" in diameter, and is 3 1/4" wide. Please email with any questions
