Description: Vintage Packard Bell (PB) TV Ultrasonic Remote Control Rare version. This remote control appears to be circa 1960s but I cannot find literature on it. The metal screen has large holes than many of the other 1960s remotes that have a finer screen mesh and look like electric razors. It does not use batteries. Rotating the buttons creates an ultrasonic click signal that the television reacted too (different length rods were used to adjust the 'click' noise). I can make out the shape of the rods behind the front screen. Appears to work! On this model you rotate the dials/buttons forward and they click. You can hear each dial creating a different pitch click. Dimensions are roughly 4" long x 2.5" wide x 1.5" tall at the buttons. It has some weight to it, and is almost 12 ounces. Great item for those who enjoy or collect consumer electronics history, Packard Bell, or even those in the entertainment or television industry who would like a neat historical desk conversation piece!
