Description: For Sale: Vintage Candino 1000m professional diver. Using an MRPsa case that was directly shared with the Beuchat MN diver, Luxor Neptune, Sinn 1000, the Marina Militare DPW-1000, and adjacently, with the Squale 2003 model which shares the same midcase, These divers were as tough as nails, and more than capable of enduring their intended purpose.. being a badass diving tool watch. The asymmetrical 42mm case uses a uni directional ratcheting bezel, with a Meco screw-down crown. The caseback is stamped Brevet # 503.305, the same marking that is found on all “monnin” cases divers. The condition of the watch overall is very good, not perfect, but correctly patinaed considering the age. The screwdown crown functions perfectly. The movement is a super clean hacking ETA 2824-2, the workhorse movement of the era. The watch will come on it’s original vintage rubber dive strap, with the addition of a vintage dive compass which looks right at home. The watch functions well, but was not serviced by me, so no guarantees can be made about accuracy. As per factory operating instructions, the movement should be hand wound 10-15 half turns before wearing. As a bonus, the watch will come on a vintage Tropic strap as shown in the photos. I have tried to describe the watch to the best of my ability, but I am not a Watchmaker just a hobbyist so no guarantees can be made about accuracy or functionality.
