Description: A very rare Le Cheminant Master Mariner Camy 77-jewel gent’s gold-plated vintage wrist watch. This Swiss-made watch is a classic example of an “over-jewelled” wrist watch from the 1960s Cosmetically, this watch is in good condition for its age with some minor marks and nicks and light wear to the plating but the case would probably benefit from a clean. The stainless steel case back is quite heavily and deeply scratched in places The dial is in generally clean condition with some small marks and areas of loss to the finish – but nothing too serious. The gold-coloured hands and batons are in good condition with some very minor marks. The crystal is in very good condition for its age with some light scratches but no cracks or chips. The crown appears to be the original and has lost its gold plating over the years. Mechanically, the watch is working. The watch is fitted with a “Superautomatic” movement and the case back also states that the watch is waterproof and antimagnetic. The crown can still be used to adjust the hands as normal and the date flips over as it should. The watch measures approximately 35 mm in diameter, including the crown. Overall, this is an extremely rare watch which is in good condition for its age, notwithstanding the scratched case back.
