Traditional quartz watches had the challenge of accuracy being affected by changes in temperature, which caused variations in the oscillation frequency of the quartz crystal. To address this issue, Seiko developed the "Twin Quartz" technology, which incorporates two quartz oscillators. The first oscillator provides the reference frequency, while the second detects temperature changes. The 9923-7000 is a high-precision quartz wristwatch produced from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, featuring the aforementioned "Twin Quartz" technology. The crystal has been replaced with a new one, and during that process, the case was also polished at our request, leaving it in a beautifully restored condition.
