Description: This antique pottery vase was made in the Netherlands in the year 1920 by the House of Regina located in Gouda. Gouda pottery has for decades been so collectible, it holds its value. The house of Regina pottery, in German "Kunstaardewerkfabriek Regina," was located in Gouda, Holland and was established in Queen Wilhelmina's coronation year 1898. Hence, the name Regina, Latin for "queen." Initially, the company made earthenware tobacco pipes, like almost all Gouda pottery factories, but quickly evolved to producing some of the finest, most collectible pottery on the planet. "Elma" is the artist who painted this pot that shows her name on the bottom, along with the Regina pottery house, the number of the potter, the original import stamp, AND, if you look at the last photo, the original gold seal on the side. Rare, rare, rare; it may be the only one in existence. At 2 lb 2 oz without double boxing, it is a substantial piece that is sure to impress. Boxes will hold quite a few little things like beads, earrings and so on, fitted among a larger item, so be sure to look at my other listings; I will pack multiple purchases together with no extra fees but postage may go up if the scale requires it. I typically ship USPS Ground Advantage or Priority. Tell me if you'd like a different shipping option before you pay and I’ll get the quote from eBay. Sorry, no returns.
