Description: Rare copy of Sus-Pense board game, produced during the 1930s by Northwestern Products Co. in St. Louis, MO. Game can be played by 2 or more players, from kindergarten on. Two separate games can be played from this one set. First, a version of Hangman. Roll the single die to determine which body parts can be added to the plastic hangman figure, until it is complete. Game winner is the one who uses the least die rolls to finish. Very easy concept for even young children to grasp. Second, a version of Merino. Players try to guess the letters that make up the secret word that the leader selects. Originally, this game came with a pad of scoreboard sheets, but they have been used up. Use your own blank notepad as a replacement. The box this game comes in has suffered significant wear -- please view photos and note also that "Bobbie" has claimed the game as her own in pencil in several places. A fun piece of Depression-era history.
