Description: Up for bid is a vintage Steinheil Munchen Cassarit 50mm f2.8 M42 Mount Lens. From the looks of things, this lens has been opened before. I found a date scribed in the metal on the back of the lens. Writing is faint, and these old eyes can't make out what it says. But the lens mounts well on an m42 to NEX (sony) adapter, which I will include in the auction if you want it. I'm including a couple of photos I took, at each end of the spectrum, 2.8 and 22. Lens aperture has been de-clicked. Shining a flashlight through it shows a few strands of what appears to be fungus, and oil on the rear element. If you're into repairs, this may be a good project lens. If not, it still functions as it stands. please let me know if you have any questions. Ships usps in a recycled box.
