Description: This is a 1992 Pleasant Company American Girl Samantha doll. She has "dreamer" eyes, a term used by collectors. The iris on a "dreamer" doll is a millimeter smaller in diameter. "Dreamer" Molly and Kirsten dolls were made in one batch in 1987 and 1 in 1988. Samantha and Felicity have a few batches of dreamer eyes made in 1992 through 1994. This doll is from 1992. It is the last year Pleasant Company dolls came with the wig bands you can see under her hair line in the back. She has the darker brown wig and the tan body introduced the year before. She comes with Samantha's Bridesmaid Dress new in its original box. The outfit includes the white hat, bouquet of flowers and trading cards. This doll had been stored with the hair net on. The rubber band had fallen apart and I have replaced it. Not all dolls from the 1990s look alike because of the various molds used. This one has a very pretty face.
