Description: Offered is an original early World War Two production United States Military issue sling manufactured for use with the M1 Garand, Springfield Model 1903 and 03A3 service rifles, and trench shotguns. This leather sling, designated the M1907, is maker marked Milsco (faintly, as is often the case) and was manufactured in 1942. This sling correctly has steel claws. This sling is full length, having never been modified or repaired. Both original sewn leather keepers are present. The claws remain solid and the rivets are tight. All stitching is intact. This rare sling is offered as pictured and has no rips, tears or gouging. Given its 82 years of age—and service life—it shows only normal wear and surface cracking. Original M1907s, particularly maker marked and dated slings, are tougher and tougher to find and are eclipsed by the fakes and the repros. ‘42 dated slings are particularly tough to find and this one will display very well on your rifle.
