Description: RARE LES KOUBA PRINT SIGNED BY ARTIST IN PENCIL “CANS IN HEAVY SNOW “ In Vintage Wood Frame. An avid outdoorsman, Les Kouba (1917-1998) was best known for his waterfowl paintings. This is one of them, albeit a rather rare one. It beautifully depicts the birds in flight in heavy snowfall. The artist has artfully captured the moment both in color tones and in mood. I was not able to locate any other copies of this particular painting anywhere online. Les was an artist, an author, and a businessman. He was also famous for his sculpture of Dakota chief Little Crow that the city of Hutchinson, Minnesota commissioned him to do. It was installed by the river Little Crow in 1937. This print is titled “Cans in Heavy Snow”. The print is 5” by 8” (inches). In addition to the artist’s original signature on the bottom right of the print itself, below that on the outer border of the print, the artist has signed it in pencil, as well. The vintage wooden frame is in great , unblemished condition and looks like new. It measures 10.75 inches by 13.25 inches. The glass is in perfect, unscratched condition. The paper that lines the backside has three tears that in no way diminishes the integrity in any way. The metal hanger part is intact and there are two little round pads on bottom corners to protect your wall as well as the frame. It is ready to hang. Bring it home today and proudly display this gorgeous depiction on your wall. Shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
