Description: This listing is for a rare French bronze clock. This masterpiece dates to around 1800 and is made from gilt bronze. It’s quite stunning The clock features a classical statue with a harp. This clock is by the firm, “Ledure- Hémon.” Pierre-Victor Ledure was a prominent bronzier, responsible for creating the incredible gilt clock case and Claude Hémon was an important Parisian clockmaker responsible for creating the movement. The back of the movement is stamped by Hémon and the back of the dial is signed by Ledure and Hémon The clock measures 14.5 x 5.5 x 21 inches. It appears to be in overall good condition. Some minor tarnishing from age, some signs of minor repair to the bronze work, but nothing out of the ordinary with age and normal wear The movement was last serviced in 2018. We recently tested it and it ran and chimed Please note that any mechanical clock that is shipped might require adjustments upon arrival. Thus time accuracy is not guaranteed. Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. Cheers!
