Description: This is a very rare fashion plate. It is some of the earliest plates that I have ever worked with. This one dates back to September 1833 and it features a bonnet to wear with an evening dress. This old charm is almost 190 years old! It is definitely one of a kind.I invite you to look up the fashion of that era, as you will surely be surprised. Often times their hair was held in place with lard and wigs were used as well.This is a rare find, it is in exquisite condition, it was hand painted and filled with tiny details.This charm measures 1-1/2" x 2".Silver colored solder that is lead free is used. It has a ruffled edging and then is hand polished to a brilliant shine!The little clasp is not extremely strong****************I have had many of these and use them to alter books with antique trim & they also work on a relatively short jewelry chain as a necklace very well. This will be placed in a plastic sleeve bag, bubble wrapped, then placed in a white organza bag.
