Description: Offering is for a difficult to find, EAPG, Milk Glass Tall Compote in Atterbury’s Lacy-Edge pattern on their ‘4 foot’ base.Pattern is also known as ‘Dancing Sailors.’This beautiful Tall Compote measures 8 5/8” tall with an 8 ¾” diameter bowl and a 5 ½” diameter base.Compote’s bowl is 3 1/8” deep with the Lacy-Edge.It is unmarked.Milk glass has numerous flow lines especially on the base. Please see photo.There are 3 tiny shallow flakes on the underside of the bowl; two measure 3/32” x 1/16” and one measures 1/16” in diameter. Please see photo.There is one tiny, shallow flake on the interior of the bowl rim just below the Lacy-Edge which measures less than1/16” in diameter. Please see photo. Underside of base has a darkened straw line which measures approximately 5/8” long. Atterbury produced glass from 1850 through 1900.
