Description: MAGNIFICENT and Rare Deco Series MILON TOWNSEND Art Glass Sculpture of Mercury with 2 Torches Black Base is "Deco" Style and Signed "Milon Townsend" and Dated "86" Measures 8.5" tall with base. Approximately 4" wide. According to the 1985 Milon Townsend Studios (510 6th Ave, NYC) catalog, it is model number SDD13 and comes from the "Deco" series (see last photo). There is a variant with the one we are selling -- Mercury is clear glass and the flame is frosted. We are including the rare original 1985 Milon Townsend small promotional brochure (see photo #11). All sculptures are handcrafted in Pyrex glass. Sculpture is in excellent condition. The glass insert that goes into the black base to hold the piece in place has some wear.
