Description: This is a very unusual and beautifully decorated cabinet plate from Wedgwood. The mark dates it to 1878-1891. It's octagonal in shape and the interior rim is decorated with gilded and enameled cherry blossoms. The interior gold field has an intricate pattern. The outer rim is gilded in a bamboo motif. It measures approximately 8" across. Very Good Condition: No cracks, chips, staining, or crazing. There is a little wear to the gilding on the rim and on the edge of the central gold section. There's a slight variation in the color of the gold field, but I don't see any scratches or utensil marks. Please see photos for details.
