Description: This offering is for an antique mid 19th century sewing stand. The stand features a birdcage style top that measures app. 17.75" square by 3.5" deep and it is app. 32" in overall height. The top is attached to the base with a cleat and four screws, the screws appear to be early machine made so the table probably dates to around the 1850's. There are two hinged doors on the top that open to a silk lined interior, please note that the silk fittings are very deteriorated and will need restoration. The stand itself is in outstanding condition with a beautiful untouched gold painted surface having a great patina, crazing and proper wear. All of the spindles are intact and there is no damage except as noted. In order to provide the safest shipping possible we will remove the top from the stand and ship it in two boxes. The buyer will pay a fixed amount of $ 100.00 for Standard Mail and we will include delivery confirmation, tracking, at no additional cost.
