Description: Rare ANTIQUE Standing DIE CUT Hand Blown WHITE Milk Glass EASTER EGG w/PONTIL Item appears to be hand-blown and has a pontil on the top of the egg. It is made to stand which is unique and has a flat base which helps it to stand. At some point in it's life it was decorated with a die cut scrap - the type that are used on antique Victorian Calling Cards. It is a very pretty example of this type of Antique Easter Egg which is used for Easter Holiday decorating. We purchased a few milk glass eggs earlier this year and this is one of them. We are listing another which is decorated with a sticker or applique of some type- that one is smaller and has a different shape. The egg measures approx 3.75" Tall and the flat base on which it stands is approx 1.5" Diam. it is difficult to measure the width of the egg in the widest portion but it is approx 2.5" - 2.75".
