Description: Antique Medal to Commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King George V Mary Queen ConsortJune 22, 1911Presented by the MayorBorough of HartlepoolThere were a number of different medals cast to commemorate the coronation of King George V on June 22, 1911. This one is unique for 2 reasons.(1) On the front of the medal it says Mary Queen CONSORT. I don't find that designation on any of the other coins I researched. (2) The medal was presented by the Mayor of the Borough of Hartlepool. There is no indication who he presented it to or why. Condition:Medal is in very good condition for something 113 years old. The ribbon portion is intact but soiled. The pin clasp is also intact and works perfectly.Shipping:I ship daily Monday-Friday from smoke-free home in Texas.
