Description: Greetings, Up for auction is this very rare, like new, 1979 original Apple Computer Pascal "Syntax" poster. According to Lucas Wagner and Jef Raskin (https://vintagecomputer.ca/the-history-of-apples-pascal-syntax-poster-1979-80), this unique and colorful poster was designed by Jef Raskin as a means to have a more comprehensible, one-stop reference for programming in Pascal, and one that could be place on a wall above a programmer's desk. Other Pascal charts and manuals were convoluted and had errors. However, Steve Jobs had to "okay" its production. Jef Raskin said it was useful code. Steve Jobs said it was contemporary art.You decide. Jef explained that Steve didn't understand the color scheme and that Steve hired San Francisco artist, Tom Kamifugi, to make it more artistic. However, Steve never explained to the artist that the original color scheme was intentional, for ease of use and comprehension. The resulting artwork, for better or for worse, is this poster. Unfortunately, Jef Raskin received no credit for his innovative chart design as his name was left off the poster; only the artist's name is present. The number 030-0111-00 in the photo, beside the artist’s name, is a standard Apple document number. The 030 means it is part of the technical document series. 0111 means it is document # 111, and 00 means it is revision 0 (that is, the 1st copy). One thing's for sure: it's the ultimate geek poster.
