Description: This album is very funny, and very Island. Bowman's previous albums have been suitable for the entire family, avoiding the language and the situations which adults like to believe the kids haven't heard about yet. This one is not. If you wait till you think the kids are asleep before you play it, they'll probably be listening from around some corner or other .. safe: you'll be having too much fun from it to pay attention to them or anything else. Besides, when you're out of the house, they'll find where you hid it. That's all right: if they do understand, they're old enough; if they don't, no pilikia. You might say this album is a product of Bowman's French quarter (the other three quarters are Hawaiian, Scottish and English). When he made his first recordings in pidgin English, Bowman managed to preserve a certain amount of anonymity behind cartoon album jackets... and by keeping his mouth shut: his voice is one of the best-known in the islands, instantly recognizable to local people.
