Description: Offering a vintage and super rare 1920's Magnetic Microphone from Dictagraph Products. Dictagraph, based in New York, (not to be confused with Dictaphone) produced inter-office telephone communication systems along with microphones for early radio transmissions. These hand-held units in the system functioned both as a microphone and listening earpiece. They have an extendable (telescoping) Bakelite handle and are wired with cloth-insulated wire and standard 1/4" male phono plug. Mid-way on the cable is a unique slider volume control. At the time of this listing we have 3 of these units, have been tested, and as a microphone, function with a telephone-like quality. They have magnetic transducers, so need about 25+ db of amplification to function efficiently, and are in good physical condition.** Audio sample available upon request.
