Rare 18th C Mother of Pearl Carved Snuff Box French King on Throne w Scepter

Description: I am offering for sale a rare 18th Century Brass and Mother of Pearl Hand Carved Snuff Box depicting a French King, possibly Louis XVI, on a throne with a scepter. The detailed mother of pearl carving is convex and very fine and depicts a scene from the 18th Century of French soldiers standing before the King, who is wearing a crown and robe and carrying a scepter. It is in excellent condition for its age without any chips, cracks or repairs with age appropriate wear and patina. There is a button which releases the lid that is fully functional. It measures 3" x 2 1/4" x 1".
