The Accurist S3 PT also features 6+1 bearings to support a solid 5.2:1 gear ratio that retrieves 31-inches of line per turn. The PT bearings and gears were designed with the most exacting anglers in mind to give you years of continued use, and the Hot Sauce lubricants lower friction and increase longevity for the reel. This spinning reel is equipped with the redesigned Dura-Lok continuous anti-reverse clutch with an increased number of bearing rollers, improving lock up and anti-reverse durability as well as performance in cold temperatures. The foot on every PT spinning reel is offset in relation to the stem to help with overall balance and sensitivity. The Maxcast 2.0 allows for maximum casting distance with the Quantum spool lip design, and the Razor Rotor 2.0 is designed to balance the rotor components and minimize weight so there is no wobble or vibration on retrieve. Reel Engine technology is based on an aluminum uni-body that is precision machined to provide a more solid foundation for the gears, bearings, and shafts in a single rear-accessible compartment. This results in silky smooth, super free cranking due to the more consistent and tighter tolerances. The nickel-titanium bail will return to its original shape even after the bail is bent or dropped, keeping it functioning properly. The bail is also thinner than standard bails to reduce weight and produce a more balanced feel when cranking. Several coatings protect the reel from the effects of saltwater. It has a mono capacity of 150-yards of 10-pound tested line and a braid capacity of 220-yards of 20-pound tested line. The max drag is 18-pounds. It has a changeable right or left-hand retrieve.
