Description: Handmade Lampwork glass beads are made one at a time by heating a cane or rod of glass over a flame torch and then applying the molten glass around a mandrel. The bead is held over the flame while it is worked on and cooled slowly to strengthen the glass. It takes a lot of skill to keep the bead from losing its shape and the adding of other colors in swirls or flowers demands much concentration. These 6 beads are very similar in color and style. All are clear basic blue glass with silver sparkles showing close to the edges of the beads. Shapes are almost consistent although some slight variation can be seen as some may be slightly thicker than others. Over all they look the same.
