Cavity is approximately 15/16" wide, 1" tall and 3/8" deep The 3D cavities are extremely difficult to give accurate measurements. The "Puffin" mold was designed by Hillside Gardens Art Studio in polymer clay and machined by Weaver Industries, Inc. using quality USA graphite. The graphite mold can be used for molten glass or as a polymer clay push mold that you can bake the polymer in before de-molding. The relative low temperature that polymer bakes at will never effect the mold and can be used countless times. If used for polymer no lubrication is needed. Our machinists are encouraged to initial their work in a discrete nonfunctional area of the graphite, something we don't normally get to do in our regular custom machined parts. Great for glass blowing, molds, and precious metals molds, etc. Graphite is easy to machine, but very dirty and abrasive to tools and machines. Graphite uniquely withstands great temperatures as well.
