It was crafted by the Kitahara family- 3 generations of shakuhachi craftsmen in Kyoto. It is available in my TENSEI Line of restored/ rebirthed shakuhachi. It plays at the highest professional level for traditional and contemporary musicians in Japan. I collected this instrument around 2014 and had only done refurbishing as it was in perfect playing condition. The tuning is to the highest standard for quality shakuhachi in Japan.
