The creed gives us further information about its history. It was made in the United States prior to the serial number system that was created by COACH in 1994. So the number under the creed is individual for this particular bag. It has the xxxx-xxx pattern indicative of the 80s, early 90s. “LEATHERWARE” is listed under the word COACH in the creed and also in very small letters on the hang tag. It was made in a US factory after COACH expanded outside of New York City.
