Description: About (25) years ago I purchased a collection of (12) prison knives/shanks from the wife of a retired prison guard from Michigan. The wife sold all his stuff when he passed. Based on the wife and guards age my guess is that the knives date from 1950’s - 1960’s. SEE PICTURE #…(17) for the entire collection. This particular knife…..# (3) appears to be filed down from a thick piece of steel. —————— CONDITION: All the knives were made without the use of tools. Therefore, they appear crude…with scratches…dings…and discoloration. I have not cleaned or polished any of these knives. This knife has some rust, however, it’s best to keep these pieces of history in an “as found” condition.
