Description: I've made this primitive Uncle Sam doll from cotton fabric. He is 23" tall and is stuffed mostly with fiberfill, with rag stuffing (my fabric scraps) in his torso.Uncle Sam is a very dapper fella, fully dressed in hand-painted clothing! He wears a vest over a faux shirt, trousers, top hat, and the most awesome painted jacket with stenciled stars! The vest is held closed with a few itty bitty bells. The jacket has stenciled stars on the back too!Uncle Sam has felted sheep's wool hair, beard, and eyebrows.I've given Uncle Sam a grungy banner hand stamped with "America."Uncle Sam's body and clothing has all been grunged / aged with coffee.There's a hanging loop on the back of Uncle Sam's neck. I prefer him hanging up, but he looks very nice sitting down too. His legs are stuffed about half-way, which means he could sit on the edge of a shelf, if that's how you'd like to display him! Uncle Sam would be honored to be the topper of your Americana Christmas tree, or he could be nestled in the tree boughs or on a Americana-themed holiday wreath! This primitive doll was created by me in my smoke-free and pet-free home studio in Sacramento, California. He is signed and dated on one leg (hidden by his pants, but visible by pulling up the pants leg just a bit).You will receive the SAME doll shown in the photos.
