The Brooklyn Navy Yard specialized in creating submarine chasers, manufacturing 49 of them in the span of eighteen months.World War I ended in 1919, and in the aftermath of the war, Tennessee was the last World War I battleship constructed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
