Description: Vintage Roewekamp Brothers Distilling Co acid etched "Merry Christmas" glass in GOOD condition. Condition is "used" This glass has a lot of ornate etching on it, as well as the banner text "Merry Christmas", the company name "The Roewekamp Co" and the city and state "Oshkosh, Wis". The etching is worn but all elements of it are still visible. It's most worn along the bottom where the city and state are. There are no chips or cracks at all, just a few rub lines and micro-scratches. The lip is in perfect condition. Very cool glass to add to your collection of vintage Wisconsin barware. The Roewekamp Bros made whiskey in Oshkosh, Wisconsin during the second half of the 19th century. I don't have an exact date for when they stopped, but there are no references I can find to them operating in the 20th century. The family was active in other businesses around Oshkosh, including liquor and wine wholesale, grocery, and furniture.
