This amp was built in sometime between 1948-1952, by the Magna Electronics Company, the parent name of Magnatone Amps, and its model number is M-197-3-V. This compact vintage gives you 5-watts of powerful tube tone that has especially high clean headroom for a low wattage amp. You get thick warm clean tones for days, but if you want gritty overdrive you can get that with this amp. This fine Magnatone comes with a classic gray pearloid covering. The Leilani Varsity is great for any guitar but really excels with lap steel or pedal steel guitars, which was its orginal intent. These are rarely seen.
