Up for auction is 1 PAIR OF EXQUISITELY DESIGNED WATERFORD HAND BLOWN AND HAND CUT 7 5/8 INCHES "BETHANY" PATTERN CANDLESTICKS IN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CONDITION. The one price is for both candlesticks. Each candlestick is about 7 5/8 Inches high and has a top opening of about 2 3/8 Inches across while the bottom opening is about 3 3/4 Inches diameter on a gorgeously fluted round base, as seen in the photographs. The candlestick crystal glass is "lady leg" shaped and is in Waterford's famous pattern named "Bethany" and has been around since about the year 2000. It is hand-blown and hand-cut in Ireland by the famous Waterford Crystal Co. The beautiful hand cut base consists of 6 triangles with criss-cross X's between 6 X's. The stem and candle cup are both very similar also with 6 X's inside 6 diamonds in between alternating fans, and both the top and base are fluted. Each candlestick weighs about one pound. Although this was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island and was pre-owned, the candlesticks are in absolutely perfect condition. I found them sitting in the back on a felt lined shelf inside a closed dining room cabinet, where apparently they sat for many years and were probably never used, because there are absolutely no scratches on the ground bottom, where one would normally expect them to be. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the item as best as I can. There are no scratches, chips, cracks, fleabites, stains, cloudiness, or repairs anywhere. I captured the famous Gothic "Waterford" Acid Etched Insignia, which is hard to see, but nevertheless is on the base of each candlestick, and can be seen in the last picture. The candlesticks come from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling.
