If the DC systems has R9522 regulator, then a battery is needed to flash the turn signals / lights If the DC systems has R7300 regulator, then no battery is needed to flash the turn signals / lights This is a complete system including Rotor, Stator, Coil-CDI, Regulator (where applicable), Adaptor mounting plate (where applicable), Spark plug cap, Rotor Puller & hardware. The system provides a higher output with a very solid spark, for easy starting and lighting that does not take away from the ignition coil.
