This listing is for packs of SMALLER Bent L's for use with 2x4's (dimensional 1.5"x3.5"). They are made using the same 1/8" thick steel as the standard Bent L, but are smaller for use with 2x4's rather than 4x4's. They also use smaller bolts/lags. Also great for fixing/reinforcing the one you already have! These are not flimsy/bendable metal. We make them using 1/8" thick steel. We are the original designer of the PostHugger™ brackets, which may be copied, but never equaled! :) If you find a PostHugger™ knockoff, give us a chance to meet or beat their price. For these Small Bent L Brackets, the holes are also smaller, so you will want to use 5/16" bolts. If you have a Small Bent L on each side of a 2x4 (over-kill but some like it like that) then no washer needed. Otherwise, we advise that you bolt all the way through and put a washer on the other side of the 2x4. That way it spreads out the force! WOOD POSTS AND BOLTS/LAG SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH OUR BRACKETS; you can pick them up at your local Home Depot/Menard's/Lowe's/Ace Hardware store.
