These notes were used in Japan from 1946 until as late as 1958. This is a nice, uncirculated "Fifty Sen" note of "Allied Military Currency" from "occupied" post war Japan. There were two basic types of this note. The first had a large A under the serial numbers and were only issued from July 19, until October 1, 1946. They are much scarcer. This is the more common type with a large B. The serial numbers all start and end with A. The Toy book says there were 43,344,000 notes of this type delivered. The Note: A crisp never used note, it has some light wrinkles or soft bends, but no creases, edge or body tears and no pinholes. The note will be sent in a new currency holder that protects it.
