Print of German artist Carlo Demand's gouache painting showing the Porsche 356 that Huschke von Hanstein and Antonio Pucci drove to a class victory and third place overall at the 1959 Targa Florio race. Also in the scene, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce Zagato driven by "Sepe," Davis and Sannino. Carlo Demand was an accomplished German artist and prolific illustrator. Motorsports artists as accomplished as Peter Helck were impressed by Demand's skill. Helck wrote about Demand: "...the very best of these works are beyond my skills. There are a dozen in the [print] set which amaze me and I believe [one of them] to be just about the finest racing bit of art I have ever seen." As published in the Carlo Demand and Michael Riedner book, Porsche Renngeschichte in Bildern (Racing History in Pictures). Print is rendered on an acid-free bright white book stock. Printed back.
