Only the pocketjet 6 plus bluetooth model is compatible, all other models are not compatible. Fully Refurbished To Function Like New It is common for pocketjet 6 models to have doors that do not lift the roller, see second picture. This is a problem with this model as it ages. This causes the paper or tattoo stencil paper to be locked in the roller when the door is open. I refurbish all my printers to fix this issue. Thermal paper or tattoo stencil paper slides freely between the roller and print head. Don't get stuck with a pocketjet that you can't adjust the paper or stencil paper causing misaligned prints or paper jams. Quality 12v 5amp power adapter included, $30 value!! Name brand power adapter with a true 5amp power rating included. Cheaper adapters, commonly sold online, do not preform well at all with these printers. Text will not be a dark black, large images may require the full 5amp power and the adapter will shut off from over current draw.... They are light weight(3-4 ounces) and feel cheap. These adapters are from a reputable company, have the weight (8 ounces) of a true higher amp adapter and handles any image needed to print. Performs just as well as the stock brother adapter. Instead of the 15v the stock brother adapter uses these are 12v. Pocketjet printers are compatible with anywhere between 10v and 19v. I found 12v makes the best print quality. The print speed is lowered about 20%, tattoo stencil print quality is best at this speed. This auction is for one pocketjet printer with the settings configured for tattoo stencil paper(print density is lowered using brother's printer settings tool, you can also adjust for yourself with the utility). Compatibility of different computers/operating systems: Pocketjet 3 models are not compatible with apple mac osx computers. All Pocketjet 6 models are compatible with all mac OS. If you have bootcamp windows on your mac pocketjet 3 models will work in windows mode. On pocketjet 6 models with bluetooth: on apple computers bluetooth mode is not supported, only usb mode will work.Some computers with usb 3.0 ports will not detect the printer. Any computer with a usb-c will work fine, all macbooks with usb 3.0/3.1 work fine also. Bluetooth connection can be used if there is any issue. All models do not work with iphone or ipad. These are thermal printers. They will not print on normal paper, you must use thermal paper or tattoo transfer paper. These printers are used with some wear, all are in 100% tested working condition. There are two kinds of tattoo transfer paper, one for thermal printers and one for hand draw(hectograph). Use only thermal printer transfer paper. There is no difference in print quality with the pocketjet 3 and 6 models. The only difference with the 6 models is they print faster and are compatible with mac OS. Images will be flipped after applying the stencil. Use photoshop or your image program and flip the image horizontal before printing.There is not much difference in 200dpi vs 300dpi(plus models), see image. In my opinion 200dpi is more then enough to get a good stencil for making a tattoo.
