Description: THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE ROCKET. Plywood Fin and Centering Ring Upgrade For Estes Big Red Max Model Rocket Kit. Condition is New. The New Big Red Max kit from Estes is an awesome 3" version of the classic rocket with a 29mm engine mount. It was designed to fly on the Estes black powder motors and is therefore super-lightweight with balsa fins and fiber-board centering rings. In order to fly it on bigger F and G composite motors it needs an upgrade. This is an upgrade kit to replace the balsa fins and fiber board centering rings with 1/8th plywood parts. These precision-cut parts are drop-in replacements for the kit parts. Once you upgrade though, there is no going back. Your rocket will be too heavy for the Estes motors and will require nose weight to balance it - but a whole world of motors will be opened up for you. This kit includes 3 plywood fins and 3 plywood centering rings ONLY. Everything else in the photos is from the Big Red Max kit that you must purchase separately. Please note: This is not a complete rocket. Note: you are responsible for adding the necessary nose weight to make this rocket flyable. It should balance at least an inch in front of the fins with the motor in place. Please observe all NAR safety rules when flying this rocket. Thanks for looking.
