Description: Here is an original script from a CBS pilot starring the legendary Phil Silvers. The series was created by Irving Pincus (creator of The Real McCoys) and the script was written by the amazing Larry Gelbart (MASH). The pilot script is titled "The Phil Silvers Show" but it's not related to the amazing 1955-59 series. The pilot was filmed in 1967 and it aired on August 5, 1971 as "Eddie". It was also known as "Bel-Air Patrol" at one point. The story: Eddie Skinner (Silvers) is a private patrolman for the El Dorado Estates, a posh residential community in Bel Air, CA. The story follows Eddie's antics as he manipulates his co-workers for his own benefit. A natural role for Silvers. The script comes from the archives of Allan Melvin, a co-star on Silvers' previous show. Melvin may have been considered for a role but did not appear. The supporting cast does include Fred Clark, Frank Faylen, Edward Andrews, Joanna Barnes, Patricia Barry, Nora Marlowe, Nathaniel Frey, Joseph, Hoover, Pat Ripley, Clyde Ventura, and Guy Raymond. The cover is green and the interior pages are all white. It has 49 pages and is complete. The script appears to have been used by a casting agent as there's a breakdown of the roles and notations as to the number of lines each character has. I ship quickly and pack carefully.
