Description: Sharp dogtooth calcite crystals have deposited themselves all over this iron-rich matrix from Leiping Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan, China. The calcite is gemmy with solid dark grey to brown phantoms. This is a large specimen for the find loaded with crystals. There is twinning present among some of the crystals, which is a notable characteristic for the locale. The layering in the matrix on this piece provides for some good aesthetics as well.
