Characters can be moved freely around the organically layered battlefields of Phantom Brave, to compete in classic, turn-based battles of magic and melee. The game follows the story of Marona, an orphaned girl who had lived by herself on a strange island full of spirits and phantoms. Now, accompanied by her friend Ash, the ghost of a warrior who fell while fighting alongside her parents, the young heroine travels to different places on Phantom Island and uses her unique powers to help good people in need.
