This tile's design is currently part of their Devotional Tiles category and is titled "Little Angel Girl" - however, it only appears to be made in the green color now. This tile's concept dates back to 1903 and was originally called "Little Blower Girl" when Pewabic founder, Mary Chase Stratton, created it for the American Blower Company of Detroit and used her partner's daughter as a model. In 2002, the design was altered to give the little girl angel wings and the name was changed. Tiles are hand-made and individually pressed in stoneware and glazed. There are slight variations in the glaze and firing resulting in each piece having a unique, aged, and old-world look. This color on the website is called Honey Gloss. Tile measures 6" by 6" and is marked "2007" on the back along with the Pewabic stamp. Tile is very heavy - weighs almost 2 pounds. There is an indent on the back which appears on these tiles which we assume allows the tile to be hung but not confirmed. No chips or cracks but note these tiles are meant to look aged.
