Description: Tramme needlepoint kit of people walking in town. The four people are in petit point. The canvas is 100% cotton and includes 100% virgin wool needlepoint yarn. Finished area is approximately 19" x 14.5" on 22.5" x 17.5" canvas. A tramme needlepoint is a pre-stitched design on double-mesh or Penelope canvas instead of a painted design. The pre-stitching is typically horizontal lines. The customer uses matching color yarn included in the kit to stitch over the pre-stitching. Sometimes fine details such as faces, skin, and flowers are pre-finished in petit point. This tramme does not have petit point and all work is to be done in gros point (regular 10 stitches per inch). Kits generally only include sufficient yarn to stitch over the pre-stitch, usually using the half-cross stitch technique to save yarn. The canvas has a 1/4" hole at the left edge but outside the work area. We purchased this tramme from a supplier at a trade who had it mounted their display board.
