This book, Pennsylvania Railroad Flat Cars in Revenue and Work Service, 1881-1968, is the first in a planned progression covering the various freight car types. The intent is not to provide an exhaustive treatise on each type and class of car, but rather a comprehensive set of information, photographs and diagrams. Where photos of some of the early cars are not available, standard PRR equipment diagrams have been substituted. The book presents an overview of freight cars and flat cars, then the revenue cars in class order followed by the cars in work equipment service, also in class order. All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
