It is said that Juno's Chariot was pulled by Peacocks instead of horses and Hera (Junos Roman counterpart) is said to have taken the eyes of Argos upon his death and transferred them to the tail of a peacock to thank and honour her faithful servant. Peacocks and their feathers are still sacred animals to Juno and Hera today. Peacock feathers can also symbolise the Goddess' return and eternal rebirth of nature at Ostara, after all they are a symbol of renewal.
