There's tiny 1/4" Ric Rac "frosting" on the roof and giant colorful candies. There's gum drops over the door, candy canes in the chimney and even a giant cupcake on the peppermint stripe pole. A little embroidered "stem" completes the cherry on top! Part of the personality of this block are the specialty fabrics we used in the house. The little Gingerbread man Baker and the colorful "Sugar 'n Spice Bake Shop" Sign are "must haves"!This Bake Shop is "Sugar 'n Spice"...and Everything Nice! BOM 2 -- Ginger & Nutmet Get MarriedGinger & Nutmeg make the Sweetest Pair! Easy piecing makes sewing Ginger & Nutmeg Get Married a snap. The applique pieces can be done with fusible web or by hand....your choice! We machine blanket stitch our applique for ease and quickness. Details like the tiny Ric Rac that looks like frosting on our Gingerbread couple and the embroidery on the Dove's Wing really make this block cute. BOM 3 Ginger's Quilt ShoppeThis Quilt Shop is SEW Cute!! There's a lot of detail in this block. Did you spot the Spool of Thread on the Roof with just a bit of embroidered ""thread"" added to it? How about the dimensional quilts that are swinging from the Candy Cane quilt rods? We even used white flannel to create the look and feel of snow on the house and ground. The Hot Cocoa Mug serves as the Chimney with a little embroidered steam coming out the top. This is an easy block to piece and have fun adding the extra details too. Once you've finished piecing the seven Gingerbread Village houses, the Assembly pattern has all the instructions for completing the quilt. This 7th pattern, Assembling the Quilt, includes the yardage requirements and instructions for sewing the Borders and the snow capped Trees. The blocks and sashing will go together quickly.
