Description: This is one of my treasures. I guess I am getting old, I'm finally parting with something that I always thought I would pass on. This 90% silver Panamanian Balboa was given to me by my good friend whom I met while I served as a United States Marine in Southeast Asia. My buddy was a Navy diver. He ultimately was assigned off Panama just a couple of years prior to Operation "Just Cause," which occurred in 1989. He and his buddies recovered a few dozen "salvage" coins while exploring, and this is one of the coins. Of course, this coin has been restored or cleaned up quite a bit, but carefully, I've been told. We were unable to determine if this particular coin was uncirculated or circulated. However, from the other coins recovered, most all of them appeared to be mint. Therefore, we assume this Balboa might follow through suit also. I don't know. This coin is approximately 26 grams in weight. It is about 38mm in diameter. It is approximately 2.5mm thick. It is .90 fine silver and .10 copper. The edge is reeded and in extremely good condition. I am selling this coin "as is," and no other claims are made. I can only claim that this appears to be a genuine coin issued by the government of Panama in 1934. Please check out the attached photos. The coin pictured is the exact coin you will receive. I strive for next business day shipping when possible. Thank you, and God bless. Semper Fi...................1SG FREE SHIPPING FREE SHIPPING
